I hope July finds you all happy, healthy, and enjoying the summer months that are finally finding their way to us! I know that I am certainly taking advantage of the warmer weather to get outside and log some miles! And with another turn of the calendar page, it’s time for July goals — and starting out with a BANG!
So you’ve been running for a while now. You have participated in multiple 5ks, a few 10ks, and all the miles in between. And like any natural competitor, you begin to look for the “next” big challenge. Maybe it’s a better time or faster speed… Or maybe it’s distance. The elusive half-marathon is a much sought after race distance but to be successful, you need to enter the race with a plan!
You need a Half-Marathon Training Plan!
I must run all the races! – This sentiment is echoed after each and every race that I complete. The race atmosphere is alive with energy and you can almost feel the excitement in the air. It’s intoxicating — And definitely keeps me coming back for more. I am also SUPER pumped this weekend. Not just because it was a race weekend, but because I am also signing up for not one half-marathon but TWO this fall!
